All registered vehicles must have a valid Vehicle Licence (Road Tax) before it can be used legally on a public road.
Driving without a valid vehicle licence
Driving without a valid vehicle licence is an offence under Section 8(1) Road Traffic Act Chapter 68 and if found guilty, the driver will be subject to a fine of Four Thousand Brunei Dollars (B$4000.), imprisonment for 3 (three) months. In addition, the driver will also receive 6 demerit points for the offence.
