Private Vehicles aged 7 years and above (from the first date of registration)
must undergo an inspection at LTD's Vehicle Inspection Centre (VIC) Beribi, Jalan Gadong and at LTD's branches in other districts. Vehicles are required to pass inspection, before their applications to renew Vehicle Licence can be approved.
VALIDITY PERIOD OF THE CERTIFICATE OF ROAD WORTHINESS -
The Certificate of Road Worthiness will be issued
after the vehicle
passed the inspection.

Manual
Inspection
is
29 days
from the Passing Date.

For Computerized Inspection at VIC Beribi, Jalan Gadong is 89 days from the Passing Date.

For Computerized Inspection at LTD's Branch in Tutong and Belait District is 3 months from the Passing Date.
IF FAILED THE VEHICLE INSPECTION TEST

If any of vehicle parts fails to meet LTD's inspection requirements, the Vehicle Examiner will issue an inspection report stating which parts failed the test.

Once the defective parts were repaired, then the vehicle can be brought to the VIC for a second inspection on the previously failed parts.

However, re-inspection has to be done within 29 days (for manual inspection) or 89 days (computerized inspection) starting from the date of the first inspection.

If the Second Time Inspection is done after the above given period, a complete inspection must be carried out all over again on the vehicle.
